Edging or piping is the beautiful finish on the handles and around the edges of your favourite handbag/purse, sometimes in a contrasting colour and sometimes matching the leather itself.
A common repair and often the first to need replacing on a handbag is the edging. Edging is the acrylic-based paint or wax, painted along the edges of cut leather which dries and cracks over time. We remove the old, damaged edging, add a new edging, then hand mix a new colour and reapply the paint. It will change the whole look of your bag and give it the facelift it is crying out for.
We specialise in the restoration and repair of edging and know the handles (especially) and bottom of your bag are often the first places to wear and peel.
We remove all the excess edging and replace it with a fresh coat.
